The Slavic castle wall Weißer Wall is located in the municipality of Warrenzin southeast of the place Wolkow in the Mecklenburg Lake District .

The soil monument is located on the northern wooded high bank of the Peene and was a one-part low castle . Finds of Menkendorfer and Weisdiner ceramics date this castle complex to the middle to younger Slavic period of the 9th to 12th centuries.

The castle consists of a horseshoe-shaped semicircular wall with a visible gate.

The castle was located in the tribal area of the Zirzipans , which were one of the main tribes of the Lutizen at that time . In the 1950s, hundreds of oak piles were discovered during dredging work in the Peene to the southeast of the castle. Here there was a transition in the form of a wooden bridge, which was probably connected to the castle wall. The castle was named Weißer Wall in the 19th century through the mining of lime at the foot of the castle wall. The Deven plaster mill was nearby at that time.

Another Slavic castle complex on the Peene, the " Hohe Wall ", is located 2.5 kilometers to the southwest .
