The Belarusian ridge (Belarus was considered still part of Russia, was also the name West Russian height or -Landrücken use) is a moraine - hills in Belarus , in the Dzyarzhynskaya Hara up to 345 meters reached.
It is part of the Eastern European Plain and runs through the northern center of Belarus. The Smolensk Heights connect to the east . The Baltic ridge passes to the northwest and the Palessje lowlands adjoin it in the south .
The Memel and Bjaresina have their source in the Belarusian ridge . It forms the highest point of the Memel Basin and is therefore part of the main European watershed between the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea.
