Weibernetz eV or the federal network of women, lesbians and girls with disabilities is a nationwide organization of women with various disabilities as well as the state networks and coordination offices for women with disabilities.

Weibernetz was founded in 1998. The aim of the association is to improve the political representation of the interests of women and girls with disabilities, to coordinate the activities of the individual state networks and other topic-related associations, and to disseminate information and thus improve the living conditions of all women and girls with disabilities and / or chronic diseases.
Methods
- Committee work: The association represents the interests of women and girls with disabilities in national bodies and is a founding member of the German Disability Council and a member of the German Women's Council
- Statements: Statements on relevant projects and draft laws of the nationwide women and disabled people policy, such as the SGB IX , the Disability Equality Act
- Political contacts: In contact with politicians and employees of federal ministries, awareness of the situation of women and girls with disabilities is created

logo
The logo was designed by the Kassel graphic designer Ulrike Vater. According to the artist, with its incomplete limbs, it is no coincidence that it is reminiscent of the Greco-Roman statues (such as the Venus de Milo ), "which radiate strength and beauty despite their damage."
