The Weiken Basin ( English ) is a lake basin in the Lasarew Sea off the Princess Martha coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land .

It has been named since 1997 at the suggestion of the surveyor and glaciologist Heinrich Hinze from the Alfred Wegener Institute . It is named after the German geodesist and polar researcher Karl Weiken (1895–1983), a participant in the Greenland expedition (1930–1931) Alfred Wegener .
