Location of the "Castle" parcel

Weinecke refers to a settlement with the eponymous castle site in the "Castle" parcel in the sliding corridor OT of Naumburg (Saale) . Today this place is part of the place Schieben. The name Weinecke was already forgotten in the 16th century. The castle was partly a fiefdom of the Margraves of Meißen and the Bishop of Naumburg . The ministerial family of the same name is mentioned for the first time in 1271, the last time in 1353. Later it was owned by the lords of Büßleben and von Ebersberg . During the time of the Lords of Ebersberg, the castle seems to have been destroyed, probably in connection with the Saxon fratricidal war . The place Weinecke existed according to the name until the middle of the 16th century, before it opened up in the neighboring village of Schieben. Today only the field name "Schloss" and a surname Weinecke in the area remind of this .
