The world of the Orient. Scientific contributions to Kunde des Morgenlandes (WdO) is a specialist journal that was founded in 1947 by the Old Testament scholar Martin Noth , the Assyriologist Ernst Michel and the archaeologist Walter Andrae . The journal contains current research results in oriental studies and their peripheral areas, as well as a detailed review section.
