World player of the year

The following will be recognized as World Footballer of the Year :

• the FIFA World Player of the year of the FIFA , 2001-2009 and since 2016
• the winner of the Ballon d'Or féminin of France Football , since 2018
• the winner of the FIFA Ballon d'Or , jointly sponsored by FIFA and France Football from 2010 to 2015
