The Chapel of St. Wendelin is a Roman Catholic chapel on Schnepfegg in the Schnepfau community in Vorarlberg . She is the St. Wendelin and is a listed building .

Choir Arch (2012)

The chapel stands on the edge of the forest in a depression of a long rocky ridge on the Schnepfegg at an old transition from Schnepfau to Bizau . The chapel, built in 1636 and consecrated in 1639, is a rectangular building with two window axes and a retracted choir with a five-eighth end . There is a bell rider on the saddle-hip roof with a wooden shingle roof. The sign is boarded up. The stone window frames have a hollow. In the 17th century the prayer room was given a vaulted, coffered wooden ceiling.

The altarpiece is a representation of St. Wendelin by Johann Kärle (1877). On the left is an altar with a neo-Romanesque structure and the figure of St. Sebastian from the 19th century and a base relief of St. Eligius from the 17th century. On the right side altar is a figure of St. Martin from the 19th century and a figure of St. Wendelin from the 17th century.

The votive image of a Mater dolorosa from 1691 is on the choir arch. The row of panels with scenes from the life of Mary dates from the 17th century. The Antependium of St. Wendelin from the 17th century is used as an altar at field masses .
