Johann Kärle

Johann Kärle , also Kerle , (born January 15, 1835 in Hinterhornbach in Tyrol, † April 30, 1913 ibid) was an Austrian painter.

Life

From 1855 to 1857, Johann Kärle was an apprentice to the classicist painter Anton Köpfle in Weißenbach am Lech . He attended the trade school in Munich and then studied from 1859 to 1861 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . From 1861 he worked as a church painter in Tyrol, mainly for frescoes. He had good technique and painted in the style of the late Nazarenes .
