architecture

The north-facing, powerful classical church building has a facade tower, a nave under a hipped roof and a retracted choir under a hipped roof. The sacristy is attached to the east of the choir. The nave and choir have semicircular windows. The tower facade has a central projection with two wall pilasters with heavy beams and a triangular gable. In the gable is a baroque figure of St. George. The arched portal is framed and has a semicircular window above it. The south tower above the facade is two-storey and has arched sound openings and an onion hood with an octagonal lantern on the upper floor.

The three-bay nave with a flat dome vault with wide belt arches on wall pillars has barrel vaults transversely above the windows. The tower facade forms three rooms as a round arch arcade and has a vestibule in the middle under the tower and on the right a staircase to the gallery. Behind the drawn-in high round-arched choir arch is a drawn-in square choir with an altar-round arch niche and a flat-dome vault. The staggered double gallery with straight parapets stands on two columns each.

The frescoes were painted by the painters Johann Kärle and Emanuel Walch from 1884 : in the choir God the Father with angels with four prophets in medallions and above the windows angels and Jesus among the scribes. In the nave, in the 1st yoke in the middle Moses and the Brazen Snake, on the left the crucifixion of Christ and on the right Entombment, in the 2nd yoke in the middle the Ascension of Christ, on the left the Old Covenant and right the New Covenant, in the 3rd yoke in the middle Pentecost, on the left the sermon of St. Peter and right sermon of St. Paul and on the belt arches in oval medallions the four evangelists and the four church fathers.

On the walls, Martin Häusle painted Christ on the Mount of Olives and the Emmaus disciples on the left and the Lord's Supper and Resurrection, in the choir on the left the Annunciation to the Shepherds and Adoration of the Shepherds and on the right a house.
