The parish church of St. Martin is a Roman Catholic church in Ladis in the Landeck district in Tyrol . The church is a listed building .

history

The church was mentioned in a document in 1497. After a fire, the church was renovated in 1683. Today's classical church building with a nave, a retracted choir and a north tower was built between 1829 and 1831 with the architect Johann Moosbrugger and consecrated in 1832. From 1961 to 1962 the church was renovated.

architecture

The church building, structured with a high base and Tuscan pilasters, has arched windows and double pilasters at the corners. On the main gable facade with a semicircular window in the triangular gable, the circumferential profiled main cornice was pulled through. The rectangular portal was provided with a roof. The facade of the tower was designed with square glare fields between corner pilasters and wide horizontal bands. The two top tower floors have coupled arched windows. The top of the tower is a snug tent roof with clock gables.

The nave with three window axes and the deep, rounded choir are vaulted with a basket arch barrel. The walls have a pilaster structure and a surrounding entablature with a triglyph frieze. The two galleries are supported by columns. The transverse and longitudinal straps of the nave vault were interrupted in the middle for the ceiling fresco Sermon on the Mount by the painter Johann Kärle (1879). The painting in the side fields was renewed in 1961. The choir fresco St. Martin was painted by the painter Josef Prantl (1961).

Furnishing

The high altar around 1830 with columned aedicula, segmented arch gable and side sacrificial passage portals shows the altarpiece of St. Martin as intercessor before the Madonna by the painter Josef Arnold the Elder (1833) and carries the statues of Saints Peter and Paul and a tabernacle. The side altars around 1833 show on the left the altarpiece of the Holy Kinship from the 17th century and a picture of the grace of Mary in a baroque frame from the second half of the 18th century and on the right the altarpiece of the Nativity by Kaspar Jele and the picture of the Heart of Jesus in a baroque frame from the 2nd quarter of the 18th century.

The classicist pulpit is simply designed. The sculptor Andreas Kölle created a baroque crucifix from the 1st half of the 18th century . There is a baroque figure of Archangel Michael. The station pictures are from the 18th century. The procession figures guardian angels Raphael and Anna selbdritt are from the 19th century.

graveyard

The cemetery with a war memorial surrounds the church. The entrance pillars carry the niche figures of St. Anna and St. Martin from the 17th century.

Chapel of Obladis

The chapel in Obladis as a large neo-Gothic wooden structure was built in 1887 with the master carpenter Johann Marggraf.
