Wendy Palmer-Daniel (born August 12, 1974 in Durham , North Carolina , United States ) is a professional basketball player. Most recently she played for the Seattle Storm in the Women's National Basketball Association as a power forward.

Career

college

Before joining the WNBA, Palmer was a power forward for the University of Virginia women's basketball team .

Women's National Basketball Association

Wendy Palmer was drawn ninth by the Utah Starzz in the 1997 Elite Draft . In the 1999 season, Utah transferred Wendy to Detroit in the middle of the season . Detroit then transferred them to the Orlando Miracles in the 2002 season . After the end of the season, the Miracles were relocated to Connecticut, where they then to the Connecticut Sun were. So she played from the 2003 season for the Sun, where she received the WNBA Most Improved Player Award in the 2004 season . After that season, she signed a one-year contract with the San Antonio Silver Stars as a free agent .

Before the 2006 season , she signed with the Seattle Storm , however, she could only play five games in her first season for the Storm, due to an injury. After her recovery, she returned to regular use in 2007 , which was her last active season.

For several years she was also active for clubs in Europe.
