Since 1999, the regional associations of Rhineland and Westphalia-Lippe, in cooperation with the LWL-Bildungszentrum Jugendhof Vlotho , have been organizing an additional educational qualification for instructors and masters who deal with target groups where integration into the labor market is not possible without support. The graduates of this course receive a certificate that identifies them as a works pedagogue. From among the graduates of this course, the Bundesverband für Werkpädagogik eV was founded about two years ago. The Bundesverband für Werkpädagogik eV sees itself as the mouthpiece of all instructing forces in measures for personal and social stabilization and to improve the chances for integration in the labor market.
