Werner Firneburg

Werner Firneburg (born February 2, 1929 in Berlin ; † March 12, 2003 in Seelow ) was a German politician (DVU).

Firneburg completed an apprenticeship as a metal aircraft maker from 1943 to 1945 and then worked as a car mechanic. From 1950 to 1953 he retrained as a mechanical engineer at the Technical Training Institute for Mechanical Engineering in Berlin and then worked in engine construction until 1969. He then worked as a designer in elevator construction until 1995. He retired in 1995 and began to get involved politically for the DVU. On September 5, 1999, he moved into the state parliament of Brandenburg, where he was in the committee for science, research and culture and in the committee for European affairs and development policy. After his death in 2003, Markus Nonninger succeeded him.
