Werner Lüken

Werner Lüken (born November 8, 1939 in Wesermünde ) is a German manager . He was the managing director of Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven and is now an association official .

biography

Lüken learned and studied the profession of shipbuilder. In 1983 he became project manager at Lloyd Werft Bremerhaven u. a. for the conversion project of the Queen Elizabeth 2 , the largest conversion of a passenger ship in the world to date. He then remained an advisor to the shipyard. He was then head of the Lloyd Werft from 1987 to 2010, from 1987 to 1996 as co-managing director of the shipyard and from 1996 to 2010 as managing partner of the Lloyd Werft. After the bankruptcy of the Bremer Vulkan , he led Lloyd Werft into self-employment in 1996. From 2010 he remained as chairman of the shipyard's supervisory board.

Since 2007 he has been chairman of the Association for Shipbuilding and Marine Technology .
