Werner Neumann (judge)

Werner Neumann (* 1953 in Freckenhorst ) is a German lawyer. He has been the presiding judge at the German Federal Administrative Court since 2010 .

Life

Werner Neumann completed his legal training in 1980 and became a judge at the Minden Administrative Court . He then worked for several years at the Münster Administrative Court . In 1987 he was appointed judge at the Higher Administrative Court for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1990 to 1995 he was a research assistant at first to the Federal Administrative Court and later to the Federal Constitutional Court seconded. From 1996 to 2000, in addition to his work as a judge, he was also a research assistant at the constitutional court for the state of North Rhine-Westphalia . In July 2000 Werner Neumann was appointed judge at the Federal Administrative Court and since then has been a member of the 7th Revision Senate. Since January 2007 Neumann has also been the deputy presidential judge of the Federal Administrative Court.

Werner Neumann has been the chairman of the 6th revision senate since May 12, 2010 and a. Responsible for school , university and examination law, staff representation law , telecommunications law , association and assembly law , gun law, and police and regulatory law. He succeeded Franz Bardenhewer as chairman of the 6th Senate .

In addition to the judicial activity of state courts Neumann since 2001 Judge at the Administrative Court of the Union of Evangelical Churches in volunteering and co-author with legal commentaries to the Administrative Procedure Code and the Administrative Procedure Act .
