Werner Neus

Werner Neus (born January 20, 1959 ) is professor of business administration at the University of Tübingen . He studied business administration at the University of Cologne and received his doctorate in 1988. His habilitation followed in 1994, also in Cologne, and in 1995 he was appointed to the University of Tübingen.

His research area focuses on the role of corporations in perfect markets where there is no asymmetric information distribution and transaction costs . Furthermore, Werner Neus has been dealing with the problem of finding examples of negative mutual external costs (methyl whiskey or the Neus theorem) for several years. Werner Neus coined the term “folkloric undertakings” and thus contributed to the further development of business administration. He developed the Homo oeconomicus robinsoni approach .
