Werner Schockemöhle

Werner Schockemöhle (born November 2, 1939 , † February 1, 2000 in Lohne (Oldenburg) ) was a German entrepreneur and horse breeder.

Schockemöhle came from a family very close to equestrian sports. While his brothers Alwin and Paul became the best show jumpers in the world, he gained an excellent reputation as a horse breeder. In 1999 he was honored by the German Equestrian Association with the Gustav Rau Medal , the highest award in German warmblood breeding. He wrote down his specialist knowledge in numerous specialist publications.

As an entrepreneur, the trained lawyer and notary was a co-founder of the RWS group of companies. Schockemöhle died at the age of 60 after suffering from cancer for many years.
