Werner Thomas (composer)

Werner Thomas (born September 1929 ) is a Swiss composer .

He became famous for his composition of the Ententanz (also known as Vogerltanz in Austria ), which Thomas had performed as a solo entertainer since 1957, but which was only released on record in 1973 as a synthesizer melody by a Belgian producer . Since then, the melody has sold over 40 million times in 370 versions in 42 countries.
