Werner Fritz Zganiacz (born August 23, 1938 in Essen ) is a German painter, draftsman , cartoonist and author.

Life

Werner Fritz Zganiacz, Lairds of Scotland of Caithness, Dipl. Ing., Time-critical draftsman, painter and author, received his first drawing lessons in 1946 from the sculptor Helga Brugger in Bad Bevensen. Since his family found the profession of painter and draftsman unsuitable, he studied civil engineering. From 1962 he was a member of the board and project manager and managed major industrial and urban development projects around the world. In 1977 he ended his managerial work. He realized his childhood dream and has been working as a time-critical draftsman and painter ever since. Exhibitions in Germany, Italy and Switzerland quickly followed. In 1985 he had his first solo exhibition at Gallery Felicie in New York. In 1989 he founded the Blankeneser Verlag Werner Zganiacz.

He has lived in Hamburg-Blankenese since 1971 and is a member of the Hamburg Golf Club Falkenstein and the Rotary Club Hamburg Altona. Since 2013, Zganiacz has been posting pictures from his stock on Facebook and Twitter.

Zganiacz draws, watercolors and paints in oils, naturalistic and informal. He created around 1500 original pencil drawings, around 2000 cartoons and watercolors, around 200 large-format oil paintings and around 100 monothypies, hand-signed, colored and numbered in an edition of 100.

From the Hotel Louis C. Jacob on Elbchaussee he was commissioned to draw a cheerful gallery of ancestors for all the owners entered in the land register since 1625 and to create an art concept for the adjoining wine restaurant Kleines Jacob. For the new member of the Jacob family CARLS, he drew the history and the heyday of the namesake Louis Carl Jacob III. He created cartoons all about pigs for the Gasthaus Schlachterbörse . On behalf of the Díll country house on Elbchaussee, he drew shrill connoisseurs with cigars. For the Italian restaurant Il Sole in Nienstedten, Zganiacz caricatured Renaissance personalities. He drew Italian gourmets for the Italian restaurant Dal Fabbro in Blankenese. For the Laeisz shipping company he created an annual calendar with the title Smiling Lines Through the Seasons .

The artist from Ev. Has created the cycle of 40 watercolored ink drawings about the reformer Martin Luther. -Luth. Holy Spirit Church in Barmstedt as a gift. From there, a touring exhibition through Germany to other parishes and monasteries has been initiated. B. in October / November 2011 in the Drübeck monastery and in the main church St. Petri in Hamburg, in 2012 in October / November in the Hamburg-Blankeneser church on the market and from May 2014 the exhibition of the Luther pictures took place in the Dreikönigskirche in Bad Bevensen their continuation. Since the end of June 2014 there has been a portrait of Martin Luther and Lucas Cranach the Elder, drawn by the artist. Ä. as a gift in the Dreikönigskirche. In autumn 2016 the exhibition moved to the Ruhr area, the city church of Dinslaken and the Ev. Möllen Church. In 2017 for the Reformation Festival, the pictures hang in the new Easter church in Klein Offenseth-Sparrieshoop. In 2011, Pastor Dr. Andreas Pawlas and Werner Fritz Zganiacz brought out the illustrated book Menschen um Martin Luther in Blankeneser Verlag. Bishop Hans Christian Knuth wrote the preface to the illustrated book. In 2017 a second edition with an appendix from the Illustrierte Zeitung Leipzig from 1883 was published by Verlag Kadera.

Together with his Rotarian friend and co-editor Staatsrat a. D. Dr. Reiner Schmitz was published by the Blankeneser Verlag, the illustrated book Hamburger Köpfe . 62 portraits were presented, including a .: Sankt Ansgar, Klaus Störtebeker, Max Liebermann, Alfred Lichtwark. Former Federal Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, who was included in the canon as the only living legend, wrote the preface.

As a supplement to the art volume Hamburger Köpfe , Werner Fritz Zganiacz published the illustrated volume Hamburg, turning points, summits, crises, then, now and in between . The artist and obsessed draftsman makes a subjective selection of individual Hamburg events. Henning Voscherau, with the longest uninterrupted term of office of First Mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, wrote the preface. I.a. Voscherau writes: With the help of elaborate drawings that are reminiscent of caricatures, a journey through a period of over 1200 years with legends, traditions and historical truths takes place. In March 2018, Zganiacz took part in ARTBOX.Projects New York 1.0 with the image Oil on canvas and the title The Gift . Other clients were trading companies, hotel chains, manufacturers, shipping companies and private individuals. He shows his pictures in exhibitions in galleries in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Gallery Felicie New York and online gallery Saatchie London.
