Werthmann Heyne Foundation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Werthmann Heyne Foundation is a foundation founded in 2006 by the sculptor Friederich Werthmann (1927–2018) and his wife, the photographer Maren Heyne, under the umbrella of the German Foundation for Monument Protection . Located in the historic baroque building of a former regional court from 1709, with a courtyard and a park-like garden, the property on Alten Landstrasse 223 in Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth houses a sculpture collection of the abstract - informal art direction.

The most urgent tasks of the foundation include the maintenance and repair of the monument. The property was opened to the public for the first time on June 16, 2019 as part of an "open garden gate". The property was reopened for the "Open Monument Day" on September 8, 2019. Group tours on request: [email protected]
