West Coast Radio

West Coast Radio (WCR) (95.3 FM) is a privately operated radio broadcaster in the West African state of Gambia . The station, which was founded in 1997, has belonged to and is managed by Peter Gomez since 2005 . WCR is located in Serekunda - Manjai Kunda , the range goes to Farafenni and large parts of neighboring Senegal . Gomez and Dibbasey had also experimented with live streaming . Since July 23, 2009, the radio can be received via the Internet again.

The program is mainly filled with music, but there is also news from the fields of sport, culture and health. Politics is explicitly excluded, so the station was not a target of reprisals.

Around 2011 Peter Gomez is the managing director . At that time there were 40 employees, 28 of whom were permanent.
