West Island (Montreal)
Montreal West Island , French also l'Ouest de l'île (German west of the island ), is the western part of the Île de Montréal (English Island of Montreal , German about Island of Montreal ). The term is generally very common and geographically clearly delimited, but not an officially separate area. About 220,000 people live on West Island, who - in contrast to the residents of Montreal and the eastern part of the island - are mainly English-speaking.
The West Island region is home to Montreal-Trudeau Airport , John Abbott College , Fairview Pointe-Claire and Cap-Saint-Jacques Natural Park , Montreal's largest park.
