West German Funkstunde AG

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The West German radio hour AG (WEFAG) was a broadcaster in Munster .

history

WEFAG was founded on September 15, 1924 as the ninth and last of the German broadcasters. In addition to the city of Münster and the Reichspost , the owners were also two merchants and a banker. The choice of location was justified by the occupation of the Ruhr : in the occupied Rhine and Ruhr areas, the construction of such facilities was prohibited. Broadcasting began on October 10, 1924. With the establishment of Westdeutsche Rundfunk AG (WERAG) in Cologne, Münster became a relay station . Most of the broadcasting operations were relocated to Langenberg and finally stopped entirely in Münster in the early 1930s.
