Westphalian People's Newspaper

The Westfälische Volkszeitung was a newspaper in the Ruhr area, which was founded in 1872. In Bochum, the stock corporation "Märkische Vereins-Druckerei A.-G." was founded by 30 citizens in 1872 in order to have a supplement to the Bochumer Kreisblatt . The founding members included Maximilian Greve , Mayor of Bochum and the director of Sparkasse Bochum .
