The Whalerthal (mutatis mutandis Walfängertal ), also known as Whale Valley ( English for Waltal ), is a small valley on South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It leads in a north-westerly direction to the Moltke harbor .

Participants in the German south polar expedition between 1882 and 1883 under the direction of Carl Schrader made the naming.
