The Moltke Harbor is a 1.5 km wide side bay of the Royal Bay on the north coast of South Georgia . It lies between the Köppen Point and the Cape Pirner .
A German research group mapped and named them during an expedition on the occasion of the First International Polar Year (1882–1883). The bay is named after the SMS Moltke , the ship that brought the expedition members to South Georgia.
