The Turnhout Tigers (until 2015 White Caps ) are a Belgian ice hockey club from Turnhout , which was founded in 1981 and plays in Division 1 (Belgium). The Tigers play their home games in the Kempisch IJsstadion .

history

The White Caps Turnhout, which were founded in 1981, became Belgian champions for the first time in the 2003/04 season . That year they also won the Belgian Cup . They were able to repeat the double from cup victory in 2007 and 2008, while in 2009 they were cup winners for the fourth time in the last five years. In the 2007/08 season Turnhout won 4-2 in the best-of-seven series against the HYC Herentals . In 2011 the White Caps achieved the double of championship and cup for the fourth time.

In 2015, the professional team was reintegrated into the parent club, which participates in the game under the name Tigers .
