The HYC Herentals ( Herentalse Yshockey Club or Herentalse IJshockey Club vzw ) is a Belgian ice hockey club from Herentals , which was founded in 1971 and has played in the Dutch honor division since 2012 . The HYC plays its home games in the Bloso Centrum Netepark .

history

The HYC Herentals, founded in 1971, won its first title in 1981 when the team became Belgian champions . After two further championships in 1984 and 1985, Herentals won the 1986 cup . The team from the province of Antwerp has now won ten championship titles and nine cup competitions. Since the first team moved to the Dutch first division in 2012 , the second team from HYC Herentals, which previously played in the second-rate National League , has played in the Belgian first division .

In 2016 the club won the BeNe League, which was held for the first time .
