White Denim are an American indie rock band from Austin , Texas .

Band history

In 2005, drummer Josh Block and guitarist and singer James Petralli from the rock band Parque Torch teamed up with bassist Steve Terebecki from a band called Peach Train to form White Denim . After two years they released their first EP called Let's Talk About It and shortly afterwards the EP Workout Holiday . In 2008 the trio put together their first LP exposure from the available material . Since the band was also active in Great Britain, they completed a second album for British fans called Fits only a little later , which was only released later in the USA. The third album was released just a year later, and in 2010 the band was expanded to include the second guitarist Austin Jenkins. By then, however, their albums had faded away without much response.

That changed in 2011 when they found a new label with Downtown Records . The album with the title D made it into the US Heatseeker charts at number 16. The four musicians from White Denim then took more time for the fifth album . They were also helped with production by Jeff Tweedy from the band Wilco , with whom they had toured. The album Corsicana Lemonade was a breakthrough and hit the official charts in 2013 not only in the USA but also in Great Britain.
