Vienna, my sense! is a waltz by Johann Strauss Sohn (op.192). The work was performed for the first time on February 23, 1857 in the Zum Sperl dance hall .

Remarks

The work was composed for Mardi Gras in 1857 and performed at a benefit concert. The waltz is in the Länder's style and pays homage to the composer in his hometown Vienna. There it was well received and some folk singers subsequently used melodies from the work and wrote their own texts on it, which they then presented to the public.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 7 minutes and 37 seconds. Depending on the musical conception of the conductor, this time can change by up to a minute plus or minus.
