Wiesław Kielar
Wiesław Kielar (born August 12, 1919 in Przeworsk ; † June 1, 1990 ) was a Polish prisoner of the Auschwitz concentration camp .
Kielar was arrested at the beginning of May 1940 and brought from Tarnów to Auschwitz in mid-July 1940 as one of the first 728 prisoners (prisoner number 290). He was imprisoned there for almost five years and was employed as a nurse, corpse bearer, clerk and plumber. At the end of October 1944 he was transferred to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp .
In 1972 he published his memoir under the title Anus Mundi , in which he describes his imprisonment in detail.
