Wilddesign is an international design agency with its main offices in Gelsenkirchen , Germany and Shanghai , China.

Company history

From 1988 Markus Wild worked under the name Wilddesign in Herten, North Rhine-Westphalia. The company was founded in 1990 after his studies at the Folkwang University in Essen. The core of the work is a simple, creative and functional design. The company relocated its headquarters to the Science Park in 1992 and to the Rheinelbe colliery in 1995, both in Gelsenkirchen , Germany. The specialization in the design of medical technology and medical devices including so-called drug delivery devices began in 1996. In 2005 the company was converted into a GmbH. The Shanghai Wilddesign Co. Ltd. and representation office Wilddesign Hong Kong Ltd. were founded in 2006. The last office of the group was opened in 2017 in Munich.

As a full-service agency in the product and branding area for medium-sized and large companies, Wilddesign offers industry-standard services from 360 ° design (sustainable design) to classic product design , design engineering, intercultural branding and innovation management. Wilddesign specializes in Asian markets and focuses on health. Wilddesign is currently (as of 2014) one of the leading European service providers in the field of medical technology and medical design, with an uninterrupted presence at the medical technology fair Medica / Compamed since 1999.

Locations

Wilddesign has 3 locations in Europe and Asia and a total of around 40 permanent employees. The director, CEO Markus Wild leads the team in the Ruhr area / Germany. The Munich branch has been managed by Sven Dörhage since 2017. The Shanghai office was set up together with Gerhard Seizer, who became the first managing director of the Shanghai office. The office is currently run by industrial designer Quan Shan.
