The Zofingen wildlife park is located on Zofingen's local mountain, Hehre, in the Swiss canton of Aargau . It is part of an important local recreation area in the city.
description
The Zofinger Wildlife Park was opened on July 1, 1897. The area is around 3.7 hectares. An orientation board at the parking lot on Bottenwilerstrasse gives the visitor more information about the park and the various animal species.
The wildlife park is mainly home to native animal species. Axis deer , red deer and sika deer as well as wild boars and mouflons are kept in seven enclosures . In the park there are mighty oaks and white and red horse chestnuts . Entry is free and possible around the clock, all year round. Signs inform visitors not to feed the animals.
reachability
Various paths lead from Zofingen train station to the park in around 15 minutes. There is also a picnic area and parking spaces for vehicles directly at the wildlife park.
