Wildlife sanctuaries are areas that are of particular importance for the protection and conservation of game species , for game damage prevention and for game research .

General

The practice of hunting in wildlife sanctuaries is to § 20 para. 2 Federal Hunting Law by the game laws governed the country. Wildlife sanctuaries are defined by ordinance of the lower hunting authorities . They are identified by signs. In Hesse , for example, there is the Kranichstein wildlife sanctuary.

purpose

In the Bavarian Hunting Act, areas are designated that are particularly suitable for breeding, setting and resting. Feeding must take place in these areas. A ban on entry can be issued to calm the game.
