Hunting law

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The hunting law contains the respective regulations of the hunting law of a nation or region. National hunting laws are often supplemented by regional hunting laws and ordinances. The hunting authorities are responsible for enforcing the hunting laws .

Hunting laws in Germany

In Germany, most of the hunting law is regulated in the Federal Hunting Act and in the hunting laws of the federal states (Landesjagdgesetze).

The basis for uniform hunting legislation in Germany was created by Georg Mardersteig in the Weimar Republic under Otto Braun until 1932 in conjunction with others. After preparation by Ulrich Scherping , it was brought into force as Reichsjagdgesetz (Reichsjagdgesetz) in 1934 as part of the Nazi coordination of Reichsjägermeister Hermann Göring , and in its essential hunting parts it complies with the Federal Hunting Act.

Hunting laws in Switzerland

In Switzerland, the Federal Act on Hunting and the Protection of Wild Mammals and Birds (Hunting Act, JSG) and the cantonal hunting laws apply .

Federal legislation stipulates the species that can be hunted and the closed seasons and rules out federal hunting areas (protected zones). The federal hunting law provides protection over regulation and hunting use and is therefore primarily a species protection law.

The cantonal legislation governs the provisions relating to hunting authorization, the hunting system (area hunting , patent hunting , administrative hunting), hunting areas and hunting supervision. The cantonal hunting laws regulate and use wild populations.
