Wilhelm (Tonnerre)
Wilhelm von Nevers († after 1099) was a Count of Tonnerre from the House of Monceaux . He was the second son of Count Wilhelm I of Nevers († 1098) and Countess Ermengarde von Tonnerre.
Life
He and his brothers were first documented in 1063 when they were donated to Cluny Abbey . At an unknown point in time, Wilhelm inherited the County of Tonnerre from his mother, but apparently he was also the reign of his nephew Wilhelm II. In the County of Nevers , as he was with the neighboring Lord of the Bourbonnais , Aymon II. Vaire-Vache , fought a conflict. He defeated this on June 4, 1099 in a field battle in which several knights of the Bourbon were killed.
The conflict was settled by the marriage of Wilhelm's daughter, Lucie, to Aymon II of Bourbon . After his death, the county of Tonnerre fell to his nephew, Count Wilhelm II of Nevers.
