Monceaux (noble family)

Monceaux was a noble dynasty in the French Middle Ages ; The ancestor of the family is Bodon von Monceaux. The family acquired the counties of Nevers , Auxerre and Vendôme .

origin

Bodon's eldest son, Landry von Monceaux, married Mathilde, a daughter of Count Palatine Otto Wilhelm of Burgundy , who brought Nevers and Auxerre into the marriage.

A younger son, Bodon, married the heiress of the County of Vendôme, and a third, Robert, the heiress of Sablé .
