Wilhelm German

Wilhelm Deutsch (born April 12, 1877 in Gohr , † March 22, 1956 in Leverkusen ) was a German politician ( ZENTRUM , CDU ).

Life and work

German was a teacher by profession and was, among other things, rector of the girls' school on Dönhoffstrasse in Leverkusen. In December 1956 he was awarded the title of City Elder of Leverkusen.

Political party

In the Weimar Republic , German belonged to the ZENTRUM, whose last local chairman in Leverkusen he was until 1933. After the Second World War , he initially participated in the re-establishment of the ZENTRUM, but in 1947 joined the CDU.

MP

In 1946, German was a member of the first appointed state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . From 1948 to 1952 was a member of the city council of Leverkusen.
