Wilhelm Engels

Wilhelm Engels (* 1873 ; † 1953 ) was a local researcher and school principal from Remscheid . A number of publications about the Bergisches Land come from him . Among other things, he examined the Bergisch-Märkische Landwehr with the result that it is probably of late medieval origin. He contradicts the results of Jacob Schneider and Johann Viktor Bredt .
