Wilhelm Gerstung

Wilhelm Gerstung was an Offenbach publishing house and printing company at the beginning of the 20th century with high design and technical standards. The publishing house was founded in 1849 by Wilhelm Gerstung and later passed on to Rudolf Gerstung, who began working with Rudolf Koch , who also published some books. From 1911 to 1924 the Rudolfine prints were produced in the printing house .

An important area since 1899 has been the design and printing of wine labels . Designers such as Peter Behrens , Heinrich Vogeler , Richard Throll and Ludwig Enders were hired for this. Labels have been printed for wines from all over the world, primarily from France.
