Wilhelm Gruber (writer)

Wilhelm Gruber (born April 22, 1950 in Walchum ) is a German writer and educator.

Life

Gruber trained as a qualified pedagogue in Dortmund . He works as a special school teacher in Münster and as a specialist advisor for teacher training for the district government in Münster.

He publishes books for children and adults and writes in Low German for radio.

Gruber has three children and lives with his wife in Münster.

Awards

  • 1987: 3rd prize in the literary competition of the FN-Verlag
  • 1994: Children's Book of the Month August by the German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature for Lauf, Tachi!
  • 1998: Children's Book of the Month for September from the German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature for Der Kopfstandleser
