Wilhelm Heidel (born February 28, 1916 in Sibiu , Romania , † September 20, 2008 in Lohhof , Germany ) was a Romanian field handball player .

Heidel started playing handball at a business school at the age of 13. For most of his career, Heidel played at the Sibiu gymnastics club , with which he won the state championship several times. For a year he went hunting for goals for the Bucharest gymnastics club. He was also a member of the Romanian national team , which finished fifth in the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin . Heidel was used three times and scored one hit.

He ended his career at the age of 43. In 1970 Heidel was allowed to leave for Germany, where he worked as a textile merchant until he retired.
