Wilhelm II. Von Retersbeck († before March 8, 1427 ) (from 1410 Wilhelm II. Von Schaesberg ) is the progenitor of the Lower Rhine noble family von Schaesberg .

Wilhelm II was the son of Wilhelm I von Retersbeck and Yolenta de Lonchis . Little is known about Wilhelm's life. There is a document dated June 1, 1406 in which the magistrate of Aachenallows him and a knight Diederich van Berge to draw water from the fountain at the fish market ”.

Wilhelm also had a brother named Gerhard and a sister named Gertrud, married to Johann von Schaesberg. His sister Gertrud's marriage had no descendants . When she and her husband Johann von Schaesberg died, the extensive Schaesberg property came to Wilhelm II. Around 1410 Wilhelm changed his name from Retersbeck to Schaesberg. From 1422 Wilhelm II. Von Schaesberg also sealed with a combination of the arms of Schaesberg and Retersbeck. The Retersbeck coat of arms shows deer antlers on the right and the three spheres of the von Schaesberg coat of arms raised by a tournament collar appear on the left.

Wilhelm was married to Katharina von Heer, a daughter of Maastricht judge Arnold von Heer. The marriage had two sons, Wilhelm and Friedrich.

Wilhelm died before March 8, 1427. Under this date a Johann van der Linden was appointed as guardian of his underage son Wilhelm III. called.
