William III. (Burgundy)

William III. , called the child ( French : Guillaume l'Enfant ; * around 1110; † March 1, 1127 in Payerne ), was a free count of Burgundy and Count of Mâcon as well as Vogt of the Abbey Romainmôtier from the House of Burgundy-Ivrea . He was a son of the ex-count Wilhelm II and Agnes von Zähringen.

Like his father, Wilhelm was assassinated in the Payerne Abbey . After his death, both his cousin Rainald III. as well as his maternal uncle, Konrad I. von Zähringen , a claim to the free county.
