William III. (Provence)

William III. von Provence († 1037 ) was count of Provence and margrave of Provence from 1014 to 1037 . He was the son and heir of Count Rotbald III. His mother was Ermengard, who in 1016 married the Burgundian King Rudolf III. , King of Burgundy , married.

He is mentioned in 1032 with the title of margrave (head of the family). A donation to Cluny Abbey is documented by him in 1037 . He married a woman named Lucia, but no descendants are known.
