A last entry in a document concerning Wilhelm can be found in 1534. It is known about him that in 1487 he married Christina von Hochkirchen from a family of lay judges in Aachen . He had nine children with her. Caspar, Maria, Margaretha, Erna, Christina and Anna chose the clergy and joined a religious community . Jorrys (Georg) the firstborn married Anna Judenkop von Streithagen in 1540. Catharina (called 1517–1552) married the wild count Peter von Daun, Lord of Kallenborn, in 1518. Daun was the electoral Trier country master , grand steward and bailiff of Daun. The marriage refers to the growing social prestige of the count house.

Nothing more is known about the place where Wilhelm died.
