Wilhelm Sell

Wilhelm Sell (born February 28, 1910 in Ottweiler ; † January 5, 1998 ) is considered to be the re-founder of the Nerother Wandervogel in Saarland after the Second World War.

Life

Wilhelm Sell joined the Wandervogel movement in the 1920s , and in 1936 he composed the melody for the well-known song of the youth movement In die Sonne, die Ferne beyond - Sell wrote the lyrics in 1949.

In the post-war period, Wilhelm Sell was the federal leader of the NWV Saar eV in the autonomous Saarland . In 1950 Karl Oelbermann (oelb) returned from his big trip and took over the federal management of the Nerother Wanderer Bird . During the renewed absence of Oelbermann between 1951 and 1954, Wilhelm Sell played a key role in leading the federal government.

In addition to the federal publication Herold , he and Oelbermann also published the songbook Horridoh in 1958 , which also included his own songs.
