Wilhelm Wendt zu Crassenstein

Wilhelm Wendt zu Crassenstein (* 1603 ; † 1644 ) was a member of the Wendt family . His line was based at Crassenstein Castle in the Münsterland . He was major general in the Thirty Years War . In 1635 he besieged and conquered the city of Hattingen an der Ruhr. His brother Wilhelm Dietrich Wendt zu Crassenstein was in the service of the opposing side.
