Willi Plappert

Willi Plappert (born December 27, 1898 in Hildesheim ; † January 12, 1963 in Himmelsthür ) was a Lower Saxony politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Plappert attended the Protestant elementary school and began an apprenticeship in the construction and machine fitter following his school days. From 1916 to 1919 he was a pioneer in the West and participated in the First World War . Since 1919 he was a member of the metal workers' association and the SPD. From 1920 he was employed by the Ahlborn agricultural machinery company. In 1926 he was elected to the community council of Himmelsthür , in 1933 he left here. From 1945 he was mayor. He was also deputy chairman of the board of the Kreissparkasse and the supervisory board of the Hildesheim-Marienburg district settlement company. In 1947 he was elected to the district council. Here he became parliamentary group leader in 1953. In February 1958, Plappert became district administrator.

He was also a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament in the fourth electoral period from May 6, 1959 to January 12, 1963.
